Mark Lusby
Founder & Managing Director
SkyTech founder Mark Lusby has worked in the aviation industry for 30 years, and is currently serving as a flight simulator instructor. Having grown up on a dairy farm in South Auckland, Mark brings grass-roots knowledge of the agricultural and farming sector to SkyTech and his vast experience as an instructor is being used to develop comprehensive training programmes for SkyTech Franchisees.
Glen Daniel
Co-Founder & Operations Manager
Glen Daniel has over 14,000 hours flight time amassed over 29 years in aviation. For 20 years he has flown internationally, the past 9 as Senior Captain on Boeing 777 and 747 aircraft. Glen has a long-term interest in radio-controlled aviation and has been flying drones for the last 7 years providing invaluable insight for Franchisees.

Our History
Both from New Zealand, co-founders Mark Lusby and Glen Daniel have over 60 years of combined commercial aviation experience, providing the best possible foundation for a specialised drone business. Their in-depth knowledge of the aviation regulatory, safety and compliance requirements, together with their international exposure, especially observing how drones are being used around the world. This unique experience is brought back to New Zealand to share with our customers.
Mark and Glen also bring strong business acumen and entrepreneurial skills to the company through establishing various successful businesses in New Zealand.
Mark’s previous airline experience focused on training pilots of all levels from new hires to training captains. The experience of this specialised role created is now being used to develop training programs for Skytech’s franchise owners, and for the individual training and licensing of our customers who have privately purchased our drones. Growing up on a dairy farm, Mark is no stranger to the agriculture and farming industries and also brings a grassroots knowledge of farming management to SkyTech.
Glen has extensive background in drones and modern technology including automation systems and their design, building and programming. This strong IT background and strong interpersonal skills from his airline experience allow him to integrate all of BROUAV’s industry leading technology into our systems and train our customers so that they can access every feature that drones provide.
Both Mark and Glen are responsible for Skytech’s sales, service and specialist support. This direct contact with the customers means that the information is accurate and as personable as possible. If we cannot answer a question you may have, we will get the answer directly from the manufacturer, not through a third party.
